I reached out to James Lamb because of the reviews I saw for him on Zillow. I wanted someone that sold real estate locally and was familiar with the neighborhood. James definitely lived up to the excellent reviews that were online. He was very familiar with the neighborhood and produced a really nice write up for the house. He spent a good deal of time taking pictures and producing a video for use online. He listed the house on a Thursday and six days later we had a full price offer. Where James really shined was his customer service. We had some last minute things that needed to be taken care of in the house and he contacted very reliable contractors to do the repair and he was the one that met them at the house. He sent regular updates (with pictures) to keep us informed. It was through his efforts that everything was taken care of prior to settlement, thus taking the stress off of us. I would definitely recommend James if you are looking to sell your house.

I recently purchased a property near JHU Homewood campus with the help of James Lamb and am very happy for his service and help from the beginning to the end. Additionally, he has owned and added sweat equity to multiple Hampden/Woodberry/21211 homes himself –he knows the history of these homes, what potential owners should or should not be concerned about, and adds a good perspective to home-hunting in the quickly evolving neighborhood of Hampden. He may be slightly old school and a bit slow on the computer, but in my opinion, his strengths vastly outweigh any slight deficits. I first contacted James Lamb a couple of years ago, tentatively looking for a house in Baltimore as a first-time buyer. He was very responsive and took the time to listen to me. I chickened out and appreciated that he was understanding. In early February 2016, I found a potential house and contacted him immediately. He put me in touch with an equally wonderful mortgage banker and we got the ball rolling. We just closed on the house March 21st. It took just a little over a month and I couldn't be happier. James was instrumental in making the process go very smoothly. He was knowledgeable, responsive, encouraging, supportive, and professional. He's very friendly, which goes a long way toward putting people at ease, especially during the potentially stressful process of purchasing a home. James is a tremendous resource, being a life-long resident of Baltimore, as well as having considerable experience as a realtor. If I asked James a question, he had the answer or found the answer quickly (and I asked a lot of questions). It's so important to have confidence in a real estate agent and he fosters that confidence. I can't thank James enough! He stuck with me through all the stress and drama that one buyer caused me and he is even coming to mediation to help resolve a issue with said buyer, even though he is not legally obliged to. He was always there to answer questions and to lend a hand with anything I needed. He even offered to let me use his truck haul stuff from home depot. James helped us sell our first house, and we are very satisfied with this realtor. Don’t let his laid-back demeanor fool you… you can count on him putting in every effort needed to get the job done. In preparing our property for the market, he was very proactive – recommending good contractors, volunteering his own pressure washer to clean up the exterior of the place, offering renovation advice and even taking professional quality photos himself for the online listing. James was consistently responsive and never had to be reminded of our goals and circumstances throughout the selling process. Even when our apparently straightforward sale turned into one demanding extensive negotiations and many back-and-forths with multiple parties, James was consistently dedicated to getting our house sold. Knowledgable, Honest, No Pressure. As first time home buyers we had heard stories which had led us to expect the end to end process to be a high stress, high pressure, tumultuous ordeal . We found James through Zillow, and just closed on a condo with him serving as our realtor. We were very pleased with our experience. James is very personable and easy to work with, and was extremely responsive to all of our inquiries throughout the process. He was able to quickly set up showings, and through his extensive past experience, was able to advise on strategy when it came to negotiating the offer price and other aspects of the sale. He worked very well with the lender, legal folks, and sellers' agent in order to facilitate the process, such that we were able to close on time, with no snags.
