Not only is he knowledgable about real estate, but he was so patient with me at every step of the way; I had plenty of questions and he was able to answer every single one. James showed me about 12 houses before I found the right one. He was patient, knowledgeable, responsive, easy to work with and made the whole process a pleasure, even in a tight market. When it came to making an offer, he acted quickly and after hours to get it done, paying attention to all the details. He somehow makes you feel like you’re his only client (when clearly you’re not! as all his reviews and stories show). He is extremely dedicated, hard-working and his attention to detail (and high standards, which I appreciated) show up in many ways to make him a top notch realtor. Another reviewer described James as “honest and not pushy - you can trust him to give you the real story on a house, including not just the selling points, but what will need attention to fix. Most of all, he genuinely cares about his clients and will always respond to you quickly and professionally.” I couldn’t agree with this assessment more, and it describes my experience exactly. I never felt any pressure (despite a number of showings, which he always accommodated even on short notice). I learned a lot while working with him--about the neighborhood, HVAC, plumbing, interest rates and more! And I found a house I love (which he continues to help with, by sharing the names of contractors, insights on products, how to do certain jobs right, etc.). My wife and I were incredibly happy with Jim's service. We started out about a year ago, reaching out to LNF to determine what we needed to do to get our house ready to sell. He made recommendations and we got everything he recommended fixed. In Fall 2021 we began our search for a new home. Jim was incredibly attentive and available at all hours to get us into showings, make offers, and chat about any concerns we had. I can't remember how many offers it took to get our new house under contract, I think it was the 6th one before we were finally successful. After that, it was time to get our house sold. It needed a little more work, but Jim was able to help himself with some of the smaller items and put us in contact with a contractor to help with the things we couldn't do. One time we even had an issue where our alarm system at the old house wouldn't stop going off and was bothering neighbors. Jim was able to come out that night and get it turned off for us. Our experience with Jim is the perfect example for why working with a realtor, while it may reduce the amount of funds received from the sale, is worth every penny. While I hope not to have to purchase another home, at least not soon, I know who to call if I do. Thanks Jim!

His local knowledge of every street in Hampden is impressive and having done lots of renovation work himself on his own properties he has the eye and insights of a contractor and inspector that helped me understand details of houses and their maintenance I never would have spotted. He helped me purchase my second home but first in the city of Baltimore and his expertise made me feel absolutely confident about making a good choice in a new city whose architectural and neighborhood quirks I wasn’t as familiar with. James was SO patient with me, showing me houses in the Hampden, Remington and Federal Hill neighborhoods and even in the College Park-DC area.
